About The Bistro House

Tucked away off the beaten path, down the charming roads of Bono, Arkansas, lies a delightful culinary treasure known simply as The Bistro House. Though its quaint exterior may suggest a modest dining experience, what awaits inside is a feast for the senses. With a menu that dances gracefully between comfort and innovation, this gem at 11759 US-63 offers a journey through flavors that delight both locals and those just passing through.

The ambiance mirrors a cozy European retreat, yet manages to retain that welcoming touch of Southern charm. As diners step inside, the aroma from the open kitchen, where culinary magic happens, instantly captivates. The staff, always ready with a friendly greeting, enhance the comforting and inviting atmosphere with their warmth. It’s a place where lingering over a meal feels perfectly natural and encouraged.

The menu boasts an impressive array of dishes, each with its own story to tell. Starters entice with plates like crispy calamari drizzled in a vibrant lemon aioli or the ever-popular charcuterie board that showcases a rotating selection of perfectly cured meats and artisanal cheeses. For those seeking heartier fare, the mains do not disappoint. The signature pan-seared salmon, seasoned to perfection and paired with a creamy dill sauce, has earned rave reviews for its melt-in-the-mouth texture. Meanwhile, the house special ribeye—succulent, tender, and cooked to any preference—seems almost a rite of passage for meat lovers.

No discussion of The Bistro House would be complete without a nod to their decadent desserts. The chocolate lava cake, subtly spiced and oozing with rich molten chocolate, is a favorite, while the homemade key lime pie offers a refreshing zing that perfectly balances sweet and tart.

What truly sets The Bistro House apart, however, is its commitment to sourcing ingredients locally whenever possible, a detail that doesn’t go unnoticed by its patrons. Guests often find themselves returning, not just for the food, but for the ever-changing seasonal dishes that highlight the best of what’s fresh from nearby farms.

Reviews of The Bistro House frequently commend its intimate setting, exceptional service, and consistently delightful meals, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area. So whether in search of a relaxing meal after a day of exploring or simply looking to indulge in a satisfying culinary escape, The Bistro House promises an experience that lingers fondly in memory long after the last bite.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — Jackie Dotson
Visited this restaurant after hearing about it from a few other people and it did not disappoint. They apparently have different, featured meals during the week and on Fridays it is steak, which is the day we visited the place. Parking was readily available and the space in side was plentiful and there were plenty of places to sit. The service we received was also excellent and all staff members we encountered were very nice. We ordered a 16 oz ribeye steak (they only had one left) and a hamburger. The steak was cooked perfectly, which is a rarity at other restaurants, especially steakhouses in the area. Unfortunately, they ran out of steaks the night we visited and only had the one left that we ordered, which speaks highly of those in my opinion so if you want one on steak night you might want to arrive early. The hamburger seemed like a pre-patted patty but it was still good, prepared correctly, and served with all the trimmings. Overall it was a great trip and I will definitely visit again.

If you haven’t given this place a try, do me a favor… go to The Bistro House and get a steak! Instead of spending your money at a chain steak house, take a chance! Fresh cut, marinaded overnight and cooked to order (not frozen)! The steak was unbelievable!

I had the club sandwich, and it was amazing. There were 2 sandwiches, but I ate the first one before taking the picture. Mac and cheese was good, too.

Every time I go, they knock it out of the park. We love eating here. It’s local and it has a great variety of food. Definitely one of our go to spots!

Fantastic Experience – A New Tradition! We were recommended this place by a local, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and the whole experience was just what we were hoping for. I would’ve added a photo of the beautiful food—but we ate it too fast to take one! It’s rare to find a spot that gets everything right, but this one definitely did. We’ll be making it a yearly tradition from now on!

Stopped in for a quick bite on my way back to Georgia coming from Pulaski County MO. Very clean, very nice and good good food. I had tomato basil, broccoli and cheese soup with and american spud. Absolutely tasty. The soup was even good cold. I ate it about an hour later. The hubs had the steak melt on wheat. He was definitely impressed. We will be back in May. Next time we head home to MO. Thank you❤️
